Instructor Rick E Oelerich, LPA, EA, ABA, ATA

Rick, as tax manager jointed the firm in 1972 after attending Drake University and Iowa State. He became a federally authorized tax practitioner in 1975 and has worked extensively in the taxpayer representation field since that time. He has served as president of the Accountants Association of Iowa 1992-93, Eldridge, IA Jaycees 1981-82 and North Scott Kiwanis 1991-92. National offices and appointments have consisted of the National Society of Accountants Iowa State Director and member of Federal Tax Committee from 1995 - prsent. In 1996 Rick was appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Committee and in 2001 received an appointment to the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committe. Additionally, he currently serves as advisor to the federal tax policy board of the National Council on Taxpayer Advocacy and National Society of Tax Practitioners. In addition to his duties with Oelerich & Associates he is a speaker for Gear Up Inc a company owned by Practitioner Publications Corporation.
